 On behalf of the ECVM, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the

1st International Conference of the European College of Veterinary Microbiology (1st ICECVM)


that will be held in Athens, Greece, on 26-27 September 2019.

The 1st ICECVM will cover various fields of Veterinary Microbiology and will include sessions on veterinary bacteriology, mycology, virology and advances in diagnostics as well as One-Health, Food Microbiology and Antibiotic Resistance of Microbial Pathogens. In addition, there will be a session on Veterinary Specialisation which is intended to attract students and veterinary graduates towards a career in veterinary microbiology. European Union summary report on trends and sources of zoonoses, zoonotic agents and food-borne outbreaks in 2017 by EFSA

This is to bring to your attention that the European Union summary report on trends and sources of zoonoses, zoonotic agents and food-borne outbreaks in 2017 has been published yesterday and is available on the EFSA website.

The report is based on 2017 data collected from all the 28 European Union Member States. Nine other European countries reported on some of the zoonotic agents (Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).
